The OMS DEN Website

Information Literacy is the set of abilities to find, evaluate, organize, and use information effectively and ethically. Throughout students' four years at Olson Middle School, they will engage in research projects that require them to develop the following skills: understanding a research question, formulating search strategies, navigating a variety of print and digital resources, selecting appropriate sources of information, and evaluating information for relevancy and quality. These information literacy skills enable students to become critical thinkers in an ever-changing, digitally-connected, and information-rich society.

On this page are information literacy resources and research materials for students, staff, and parents.
